Question for the Muse: Hi how did you get into the Haunted Mansion Fandom?
I guess there's a number of answers for that. The first time I distinctly remember going into the Haunted Mansion was when I was seven years old. I was scared at first and the bride gave me nightmares for years after, but it still became one of my favorite rides. All the ghost stories I'd heard from my family over the years, along with it being a Disney ride and that nice, deep voice to guide you through that I always thought belonged to a benevolent, albeit somewhat mischievous spirit was appealing to me. What drew me to the Haunted Mansion fandom on Tumblr was, first of all, I'd heard via deviantart that there was a Ghost Host roleplayer (asktheghosthost) and with a little investigation, I found out how nice the fandom is over here and how well thought out their stories for the characters are. So, once I found out that the Hatbox Ghost was coming back and hadn't had an active roleplayer for a little while (that I knew of, anyway), I wanted to jump right in. I already had the stories for him that I'd made up, so he was pretty much ready to go. But over all, since that first fantastic, brave venture into the Haunted Mansion until now, my fascination with it has only ever grown and hopefully will never stop.
