Selene Nightingale

With all the polls I’ve been doing for the new Haunted Mansion bride of course I had to draw her! I know the effect maybe isn’t as popular as old mansion practical ones, but I think this new addition has a certain beauty to it, even if it is almost fully digital.

Her name is still in the works, but Selene Nightingale seems to be the one that’s sticking. And I’m naming the one eye’d cat Scrim. We haven’t decided how exactly Selene departed the land of the living yet, but we shall see :3

I'm sure someone has suggested this before, but it occurred to me that a crossover of The Haunted Mansion and A Christmas Carol could be fantastic, with the ghosts and the Victorian setting and all. So, in your opinion, which of the ghosts could play who, in A Christmas Carol?

I remember reading somewhere that Imagineers may have actually toyed with that idea years ago. Would have been cute to see.

Beau as Marley. Dorian as Scrooge. Sally as Isabel. Emily as Christmas Past. Hattie as Christmas Present. Madame Leota as Christmas Future. (Imagine him grabbing the cloak off, and it's just her floating head.) The hitchhikers as the thieves trying to sell his things. Constance as Fezziwig, just for funsies.

I really need to draw this. The idea of Dorian dramatically whipping off that cloak, just to see that Madame Leota really is just a head in a crystal ball is such a fun, chilling image.

The Hitchhiking Ghosts materialized near the Country Bear Jamboree on a balcony at the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. While they didn't speak, their performances were still very entertaining.
