Our stretch of sunny days have often begun with low lying fog which it is often easy to get above here in hilly Portland. That patch of pixie cups is on a gravel-size lava rock. The next photo is of very short pixie cup Cladonia which almost look like the reproductive discs on a crusty variety Then an abandoned and soon-to-be decaying bush tit nest. These lichen-shrouded twigs seem to form a perfect bird outline cruising into the sidewalk. PUFFBALL!!!!!! 'Shrooms. * a space denotes a move to the new photo. Lichen on!
