she lifted her head from the pillow a fraction to regard the other woman better. her lips curled into a light smirk. she knew how easily she won others over. it was no real surprise that she had managed the same with nova.
she shifted carefully and reached out to affectionately caress nova's cheek. "and what have those dreams consisted of?" she questioned.
ruby too often experienced dreamless sleep so it was entertaining to here what other people dreamt of. she thought that the concept of dreams were foreign to a city like their own. she was sure that it was something left over from solteria.
her family were so far detached from the original homeland that she believed that was likely why she did not receive dreams from beyond whatever veil there was.
"what does the future have in store for us then, darling?" she asked. "don't tell me if it is anything bad, though. i'd like to keep living in peace."
