Opinions on Melissa now that she shot him?

His opinion on her hasn't changed. He still thinks she's a hard ass and needs something removed from her ass, but if anything he probably has a little more respect for her now knowing she finally got her hands dirty herself. However, she impulsively shot a man in cold blood and while the situation wasn't ideal and likely didn't look fantastic, her overreaction tells him everything he needs to know about what she fears.

Her importance among the Rutherford's can't be argued with, but now, he knows that a lot of her bravado is all talk and she can't fall back beyond those that would protect her this time.

Does Vincenzo see a war between the Italian's and Rutherford's starting?

Technically, considering the Sovrani are allied publicly with the French, there already is a war between them, however, if you're talking about something more personal -- No. Not if he can help it. Not because he doesn't believe they could go head to head with them, but because he absolutely knows they could if one considered the Sovrani's numbers back home and in the US and their penchant for violence added. Vinnie isn't interested in starting a war with them, if anything, he'd build a bridge and is willing to do business if necessary. All he wants is the Russians - and Melissa.
