hi, thank you to everyone who messaged us and had a discussion about mgk. we’ve went ahead and added him to the banned list because like i said, member comfortability is #1.

okay, some things need to be addressed. mod cee and i have had this group on the back burner for months now. we were waiting for an opportunity to launch when we knew bandom needed a place to go since most groups were pretty full and no new groups had really gotten enough interest to take off the ground. when paradise closed, i myself, was in the group and needed a place to move my line to. after discussing with mod cee, we decided to give opening truth hurts a shot. 

what we didn’t expect was the very minimal interest from paradise members. it became pretty clear to me that paradise closed because most of the members weren’t posting or were posting 2-3 days apart between posts. we had a total of 7 applications not including our own before opening it up and posting in the tags about the group. we didn’t receive a single message for a reserve or application 48 hours within opening it up to bandom and in that 48 hours time half of the people that had originally applied had already moved on to other groups. as mods, spending all this time and energy into making a group on our free time and it not having taken off was extremely disheartening, and most of the paradise members had migrated to babylon, so we put the group on the back burner once more and joined babylon instead. 

fast forward to last night when babylon closed. countless people were looking for groups, so i put out a vibe check to see if people would want to join instead of us attempting to open a group again to get let down by the want of people to join. there was expressed interest, so mod cee and i decided to try once again. we took it as a restart since most, if not all, the original people who had applied were in other groups. we never thought people expected us to message them re-offering them the members they originally apped for, because they were in other groups and maybe that was our fault, but the types of messages we have received when we do this just for fun and on our own personal time is not fair to us either. we’re human beings just like you and sending countless anonymous messages calling us shitty isn’t something that makes us want to talk. 

all of this to say, we’re excited to finally open this time around. we’re giving everyone who was in babylon until 7 PM (PST) to send in reservations for members they played there, and after that we will open it to anyone else who wants to join. 

the doors of truth hurts will officially open at 5 PM (PST)/8 PM (EST) tomorrow!
