ralph is very easily excited! he can’t control his emotions very well, and this includes when he’s happy. he has a tendency to bounce on his feet or wiggle, almost like a child. when he’s nervous, he rocks back and forth on his feet and rubs his hands together (as seen when connor asks him about kara & alice).

ralph speaks in the third person. he was not always like this -- it was triggered due to trauma. he has a very warped sense of self. it’s best described as constant disassociation: he knows he is ralph, he knows he is an android, but he feels disconnected from himself. that is what causes him to speak in the third person. in times of strong emotion (e.g. anger, sadness, confusion, etc.) he will switch to normal. this is seen when kara asks him why he writes ra9 on the walls, and he responds with “i don’t know”.

PERSONALITY.

“Ralph habitually refers to himself in the third person. Although he is distrusting of humans and androids due to his past trauma, he also seems to have a desire to be a part of a family as he refers to Kara, Alice, and himself as "Father, Mother, Little girl" while cooking an animal. “He has an energetic personality and his mood can rapidly fluctuate between extremes, for example, going from fearful to giddy in seconds. He also has trouble controlling his anger, having seemingly killed a human in rage at one point. HISTORY.

Ralph is a model WR600 android, made to garden. He was one of five-thousand WR600s bought to maintain the parks in Detroit. He was doing his job when he was attacked by a group of human teenagers who tortured him for fun before getting bored and leaving him in an alleyway. He was reported missing by the city, and has been living in an abandoned home in the Camden suburb in the outskirts of Detroit.
