“ hey, uh . . . i know it’s totally not your fault, but i’ve been here for, like, forever, and i was just wondering if you knew when my food was gonna be ready. ”
it would have been a perfectly fine question, had he been here for longer than ten minutes -- and had actually ordered something in the first place. at the moment, it seems his brain can’t quite seem to wrap itself around the fact that just staring really hard at the menu isn’t enough to convey his desires to the cashier.
“ ---------- if not, that’s cool. just wanted to make sure you guys didn’t lose my order or something. ”
