not like that ۰ JJK ft. PJM

when jeongguk finds himself confronted with the (daunting) task of having to socialize for the second time in a month, he strongly considers whether or not he should heed nature’s warning to stop staring at people in public in order to avoid these kinds of situations. he’s never been good at listening to rules, but maybe-- just maybe-- he’ll try next time.
granted, the person he was staring at was kind of singing onstage and all at this bar, and certainly wasn’t hard on the eyes by anyone’s standards. and he did kind of initiate it all himself, and was kind of drunk, and was definitely underage, but. details.
it’s not like he doesn’t enjoy himself, though. he sits through the song without complaint-- humming along faintly, recognizing the tune enough to appreciate the boy’s take on it, aware of the fact that the same song is stored on his phone. it’s certainly nice, and jeongguk finds himself closing his eyes and nodding along to the sweet voice, letting himself get lost in appreciation for the music. he finds himself disappointed when the song is over before it felt like it even began, blinking his eyes back open and watching the performer leave the stage, slinking off to find a place by the bartender. (it’s not like the little bar they were at had a backstage area or anything, so he’s not surprised.)
there are two things that one should worry about when jeon jeongguk has Consumed Alcohol: one, that you might be his target. as attractive as he is, you aren’t the kind of target you’re probably expecting yourself to be. two: that he will try to-- pause for dramatic effect, here-- socialize. cue gasps and shuddering. jeon jeongguk is not an eloquent creature when it comes to words, and unfortunately, park jimin seems to be the unfortunate soul to experience this pain tonight. rip park jimin.
jeongguk slinks out of his seat and wades through the thin crowd easily, finding a seat next to the other boy and settling down comfortably. he opens his mouth once he’s noticed, before pausing-- mouth open and all-- before retracting that idea, stopping to consider his words. then he tries again, with the same result, this time with his hand stretched out in the beginning of some gesture, frozen in place along with his expression as he stops before he can begin. finally, after a few more seconds, he finally blurts out, “you sounded better singing that song than the original artist,” and grins like an idiot.
yeah, don’t let jeongguk have alcohol. he does this weird thing where he smiles and tries to be funny and quite frankly, it’s horrifying. someone make him stop.
