“It’s just that one song! And it’s not like I’m as bad as I was in the cinema. God do you remember? People were staring and pointing, it was horrific. I wanted the ground to just swallow me up. I’m glad it was just you and Lola with me or I would have died of embarrassment.”

   That didn’t stop her from singing along tonight though, the both of them    duetting every song, even through her tears Lauren managed to belt her    way through ‘The Winner Takes it All’.   She scoffed - mouthful of profiterole     - as Jez mentioned the gym. “Oh come off it, you’re like a twig anyway,      you’ll be fine. It’s me that should be worrying.”

She didn’t though, she was too comfortable to worry. An arm worked it’s way around her friend’s shoulder as she sighed softly. “Where are you staying now? You haven’t mentioned.”

     Okay, so she hadn’t meant to speak out loud, but come on. This was New York. Actual, real life, New York, and it was beautiful. She was still enjoying it despite the fact that she was walking around alone because her boyfriend was inside playing video games apparently oblivious to the beauty of it all. Though not for long, she soon decided that the moment she got back to where they were staying all six of them were going to come to this exact spot so that Lauren could show them exactly how magnificent it was.
