this wasn’t how sydney planned on starting her day.. everything felt quite normal, her coffee tasted the exact same as it did every other morning, and the people who she would see rushing to work were also the same. but something was different today, they had left their blinds open and now? well now sydney couldn’t help her eyes from looking as they got dressed in a hurry. it was as cute as it was sexy. and then they looked at her, and her cheeks went as red as humanly possible. “sorry!” she screams from her balcony, not even contemplating the fact that maybe they couldn’t hear her.

they had been best friends for a long while, in fact, sydney has thought of him as her best friend since she could think of herself as a real person with real thoughts and feelings. he was her safest place, through it all, through the darkest times - in fact he was one of the few friends who didn’t just walk out on her when things got really bad with her ex. and then things shifted, it came out of nowhere and for a while sydney kept track of how many times they had kissed, but by now she had lost track, by now she kept track of how many times he had stopped her from saying the three words that would greatly shift things for the pair yet again. “c’mon dance with me, icarus.” she says as she softly takes his hand in hers and drags him to dance with her. sydney’s quickly moves both her hands to his neck, looking up at him with a small smirk. “you look good tonight.”
