#maybe it was the lower resolution but i don't remember her original outfit being quite that unhinged#it's summer holiday and i'm trying to cope#and i felt a pang of nostalgia for this one#ready for the sidequests* to put me in a fugue state once more#*(barring a select few)#whoever invented the pink moonflower seeds one you will not see heaven#i'm a bit ambivalent on the twink vs grumpy dad Nier situation#on one hand there was something fresh and charming about old-Nier and Weiss' back-and-forths basically being grump-on-grump violence#young baby twink Nier being a bit more - for lack of better words - annoyingly idealistic#which is most likely on purpose because i'm sure the intention is to make the (spoiler alert) post time-skip contrast hit a bit harder#and laura bailey's flaming disgust for all of his “we can do it together :D”-isms is -hysterical-
