Swifties need to be more cool with edge case dilusiioned fans who are maybe critical of her but had 10+ years of feeling deeply connected to her. Just asking people to 'leave' just because their critical of a few things Taylor's done lately is inhumane. People giving up on Taylor for any of her many disappointments lately are allowed and still struggle with leaving her behind and looping her out of their every day thoughts. It's like a break up, it's like losing a friend you thought would be there forever and takes time. Swifites being like "just leave" and "nobody's making you stay" are really revealing their lack of knowlege over how much time it takes to leave behind something which isn't working anymore. At least a year, someetimes more, sometimes three years.
Taylor's a billionaire & achieved most of her life goals now, and can cope with a few people criticizing and outgrowing her and doesn't need defending. Swifites spend way too much time defending Taylor's hnour and need to put that energy else where.
i wish i didn't agree with any of this but it's so true 😭 i know current swifties joke about disillusioned swifties as being "obsessed" with taylor but like... she's been my number one artist on spotify since 2017. i've had this blog since 2016. i was a fan from before that. i bought her albums. i defended her during kimye gate and when her music was bought out from under her. like i was there 10 toes down for everything from 2015 to a couple years ago. it's hard to realize that an artist whose music meant so so much to me is not the person i thought she was. and that's on me tbh. i realize that i used to be just as parasocial as the avg swiftie lol. so trust me when i say that the heartbreak is very real. and i know i'm not alone in this experience. every disillusioned swiftie talks about feeling heartbroken and feeling like they've outgrown their childhood and teenage fave. people dismissing our thoughts as "hate" (when it's like the most mild criticism at best) just don't see the other side of it. idk i think this fandom has an empathy problem. the only person they have empathy for is the rich billionaire and they have none for the fellow fans.
