arctic monkeys + tranquilty base hotel and casino mv + mark rothko pantings (1/?)
in my understanding rothko wanted to create art in which you could escape, a fasination with door like ,open window forms leading to a far away place or world everyone could find but no two the same, wanting to create something with the same grand emotion in music that seemed simple to those who interacted with it but steeply and endlessly complex for the artist , here i draw comparisons to the world of tbhc where transitional spaces and distinct colors and forms built from a gaze of ambiguity both in visuals and in musical content which as stated before rothko was also moved by whereas this world is more of a projection of art from the music than vice versa.
