The need for revenge can cling to some for years and years. If this persisting form of yearning for revenge was to be expressed as a colour, what colour would it be, and why?
the question catches him off guard, makes him tilt his head as confusion sets. it is lilith who prompts him to think, she coerces his thoughts to turn to a more intellectual point of view and he thinks. connects different theories to one another, deciding which would be make more sense to others. for a moment he thinks of a specific color, but tosses it to the side. for each emotion held their own color, and the motive for revenge could lead to not just one emotion, but a plethora causing a person to go over the edge.
but even with this theory, there were flaws, holes that he couldn’t fill no matter how hard he played with the science of it. his head tilts for a moment, fingers pressed against his lips as his brow furrows. revenge could either be loud like the scream of a heartbroken banshee, a spirit cursed to never find happiness and forces others to feel her pain by rupturing their eardrums, making them bleed from every crevice. but just as loud as revenge could be, it could be silent. a silent mourning as poison fills a cup, the toxins mixing with the liquid quietly, waiting to claim a life.
“since you’re so curious my dear friend, revenge would be colorless.” a grin stretches across his lips, hands clasping together, pleased with himself. “you see, there are many motives for revenge and one couldn’t brand it for colors are represented by emotions. such as anger is associated with red, blue is sadness. do you understand?” with each passing word he grows more excited, fingers twitching at his sheer genius.
“so to brand something that is actually a whirlwind of both emotions and intellect is rather- ignorant.” he pauses a moment, a slight hesitation to see if he used the right world correctly. “yes, ignorant. so in conclusion dear boy, revenge would be colorless.”
