I don't know if this was asked before - I went through the tags and couldn't find it but I could also be blind as a bat - BUT ANYWAY: Jerome Flynn. I think he's one of the better actors on the show and that it's damn shame Bronn is such a small role (comparatively)

And I’m adding the full quote from episode 1 season 3 review: "My absolute favourite part of these scenes was Jerome Flynn (Bronn)! The actor has an certain ease for this role. I love that he doesn’t seem to be acting, he just is Bronn. The character definitely benefits from good writing, but at the same time, the actor takes it to a whole different level. Good timing is everything in a character like this, and Flynn surely gets that. He owned these couple of scenes. He went from “I fear nothing”, to “oh shit i’m gonna have to fight against two guards with swords and armour with just a knife”. His face expressions were on point. Check the scene again and tell if it isn’t so! If there was a spin-off, I would definitely want him to take the lead character status on that one!”

I think I can count him as one of the good character actors the show has. I do think the opportunities for him are slim in terms of screen time, but he has managed to steal the show many times with his portrayal of Bronn.I didn’t always like it, because it seemed too limited in terms of the face expressions, and line delivering, but I think he was never bad. He was able to hold his own, and be sufficiently good or decent enough. And he definitely improved with more screen time, and was allowed to add a lot more to the character. I think largely his personality and personal touches have made the character what it is, whether the writing was or wasn’t that good for the role. Once more proof enough that good or decent actors can work with the material they have and make it shine, even when it’s not the best.

What do you think of Bronn and how they've expanded his role in the show? I think Flynn does a fantastic job with him and has great chemistry with Dinklage. I would like to see him used a bit more seriously, though, instead of just popping up to deliver a witty one-liner or banter with Tyrion (as great as it is to watch).

I agree. I like the actor’s portrayal. However, I do think the purpose of the role is ok as it is. I don’t think it needs to go further than that, since part of his charm is not knowing where he’s from, why he does the things he does, being witty, sassy and carefree. And he’s probably another one of the good changes the producers and writers accomplished.

As an actor, I think Flynn has great timing, which is fundamental when playing a charater like Bronn. He was one of my favourite performances on the first episode.
