a prisoner of your gaze ✖ belle and beast
In the darkness amongst countless shredded rocks and gloomy rubble sits a young, weathered girl; curled up into herself several times over. Brunette tresses spill in waves across the girl’s small pretzled lap, and with uncomfortable inclination she buries her nose even deeper than before into her worn royal-blue skirts. Why had her Father come to such a place? Why?
A weakened throat swallows doubt and gasps for hellish air. Mistake. The smell of such an unholy place made knots twist in her stomach. Rancid. Disgusting. Dusty. No one had lived there for years but she was certain many had died there.
[Would the beast throttle her too? Break her bones?]
Faint realization sweeps over her hollow shoulders like anxiety and taut arching muscles force her to lean back against the wall. Kindled flames greet back, almost innocently. Silence reigns supreme but she can’t fight the fear that somehow, two large golden eyes are watching her. Two almost bare knees buckle against her chest. The pitter-patter of her large heart engorges her tinny chest cavity, growing bigger with every gasp two vulnerable pink lips take.
'What do you seek to do when Hell waits for you to breathe again...?’
