Hating on TCW because of certain OOC Anidala scenes? Yes, exactly 💯💯💯💯 👍👍
Hating on TCW because Anakin is 'too suave'? Eh, while I can see where people are coming from, Anakin's characterisation isn't limited to AotC, and his 'suave' qualities are already extant in the original Prequels-era material, such as in TPM's Litle Ani and in descriptions of Anakin in RotS novelization (for more on this, see here and here).
Hating on TCW because of a misperception that the existence of Ahsoka is detrimental to Padme's character? WHAAAAAT. NO, STOP, what even are you doing???? ⛔️⛔️⛔️⛔️✋✋✋✋ ⁉️❗️‼️Anakin and Padme love Ahsoka, she's the only child they got to raise together!
#tcw discourse#there are absolutely legitimate criticisms to be made of TCW and how they handled certain characters and relationships#HOWEVER.....#I will always vehemently disagree with those who claim Anakin isn't supposed to be 'dashing' or 'suave'#is he supposed to be a fuckboi? NO.#but 'suave' and 'fuckboi' are NOT the same thing!!!#the swaggering Skyguy persona is perfectly in-character for Anakin in TPM and even in ROtS#AotC Anakin is not the only stage of his existence#and i'm tired of fans acting like anything other than moody teenager Anakin is somehow a 'wrong' portrayal#his character is not static#he's a charismatic and well-respected General in the Clone Wars#stop acting like it's out of the question for him to put on a public persona that is more outwardly charming#it's clear that he hides his inner struggles and vulnerabilities and only shares them with Padme#Anakin is canonically the 'poster boy' of the Republic#aka.... a literal celebrity#you think he's just sitting around brooding and crying his in room all the time???#please#and as for that last point....#well...that's Padme's lil sister/daughter!!!#how dare anyone act like the problems with TCW are due to Ahsoka of all characters#come on now#*DISCLAIMER:#this post is not aimed at any one particular user but is simply a generalised response to certain attitudes I've seen
