Day 23, Projects: TOO MANY TO COUNT

Aside from miscellaneous comic page ideas for my main pets, I want to put the pets on my RPG account into a comic series since the NT editorial has stated that comics don’t have to all be comedic to get in, but I need to actually finalize/update their designs first.

Knightey is a hero unknowingly trapped in a time paradox with two clear objectives: 1) defeat the boss and 2) save the world. He wakes up in the Lost Desert with a sword and picture of a Jetsam.

Has been lead to believe this boss is Gustallo, who views Knightey as a minor annoyance and defeats him with ease, resulting in a “game over”. 

Knightey restarts his timeline with no memory of his defeat or his friends/party members

Everything resets for his friends as well (Zanren, Jewelflower, Rouset, and Jellyjaws), and they are sent back to their respective lands with no memories of each other, but they are always fated to meet again

Gus, Raq, Arwit, and Dino just think they’re all delusional LARPers

As with most of the misfortunes that befall my pets, Dreamsleep is behind it all. By distracting multiple threats (Knightey + my main pets) she feels she’s buying herself time to make... necessary preparations.

Although I didn’t draw her on the first pic, Dreamsleep is probably one of the largest OCs by virtue of the fact that she’s a Chomby, who are Neopia’s largest species in my mind.

Day 6, Neopian Lands: Hadal Island

Not canon in the slightest, but part of my villain account. Hadal Island is named after the hadal zone, which is the deepest part of the ocean. It was once inhabited by a civilization that fell victim to the very being that they once worshipped. It’s now inhabited solely by Dreamsleep, Deadfin, and a growing army of ghouls.

Surrounded by a reef that results in a nice little lagoon around the island. The reef also serves as an enchanted barrier that keeps most of the stronger ghouls (Deadfin included) from escaping. It was put in place by the escaping shamans who survived Deadfin’s initial rampage. Dream is a descendant of these shamans.

Geographically (neographically???), it’s located near Lutari Island and also largely avoided by navigators and even Maraquans out of fear of a curse

Has been targeted by research vessels, but none of these vessels are ever heard from again. Also fuels rumors of a curse

Anthropogenic impacts and Dream’s own plans have caused the reef to bleach, weakening the barrier. Only lesser ghouls have been able to slip past so far though

Victims that are lured here or captured are used as part of Dream’s magic experiments

The temple that was once built as a place for worshipping Deadfin is now Dream’s home and base of operations, not drawn in the “map” but located at the center of the island

Tried a different process for my style stuff that, oddly enough, starts with me actually doing lineart but it’s mostly for the sake of being lazy and using the fill tool 2000% more
