our favourite cool girl, or should we say, cool princess, is back on the scene! after her highly publicised kidnapping and subsequent release, princess ari of portugal had been in hiding behind a plethora of sharply dressed men in black, leaving us waiting with bated breath; which art gallery opening will be featured in her comeback appearance? turns out we were dead wrong, it seems like after giving a short appearance at her twin brother’s wedding last year, ari decided that yet another family function would be her formal comeback to high society, as it were. her highness showed up and showed out in a couture piece from zuhair murad’s 2018 spring collection, matching glittering gold with her sister’s other high-profile bridesmaids.
however, many of our readers will despair in the fact that our most eligible cool kid is single no more -- our sources had confirmed that the lucky guy was prince bastiaan van oranje-nassau of the netherlands. unfortunately, other than hailing from erasmus’ home country, he doesn’t scream the progressive intellectual that we were hoping for the hippest princess of our generation. we don’t know yet if he’s pumpkin-spice-latte basic or more of a frat-boy chic, but hell, our editors were quick to lament that someone should rescue our girl before she’s forced to listen to kanye on pain of renting out a bougie tent at coachella. yikes. blink twice if you need saving girl!
