He smiled, and Cas came up to his side and sat there."What are you looking at?" he asked, looking up with him."The stars," he answered, glancing at him for a second."Oh," Cas replied.They stared for a few minutes, saying nothing."Why do you like the stars so much?"Dean looked down at him. "Because my mom said that each one was an angel watching over me."Cas furrowed his brow. "That's not true. I'm an angel. I'm not a star."Dean laughed and looked back up. "I know. It was just a comforting thought." Cas still had his brow furrowed and he looked up at them again.They sat there in absolute silence again for a few minutes."But," Dean said, breaking it, "they're not as comforting as having you here. You're the real angel watching over me."Cas looked over and tilted his head, then looked back up and smiled."Thank you for always being here for me," Dean told him, still watching the stars."I always will," Cas replied.
