What’s Twisted about and also were there any inspirations in creating Daphne?

Twisted is a huge Ninjago au I’m working on that is basically a cross between Season 3 But Lloyd Dies Instead of Zane and SOG But It’s Lloyd and Not Garmadon.

In a nutshell, Lloyd dies when the overlord is draining him of his life force/energy/whatever that was. 6 years later, Harumi, who is now Garmadon’s student bc the emperor and empress think she needs more discipline, gets caught up with Ultraviolet and Killow, who convince her to use the masks to resurrect Lloyd. Unfortunately, the spell is incomplete, so it tears his soul in half, leading to a ‘twisted’ version of Lloyd being released into Ninjago. I won’t spoil the rest, but it involves Morro, the First Realm, and lots of angst.

Daphne is my Marty Oppenheimer’s oc, who miiiight also become a love interest for Cole some day in the distant future. Her existence is really an accident - there’s a scene early in Twisted where I needed some staff members for Marty’s, and she ended up taking on a life of her own. I got a lot of inspiration for her from my own experiences in performing and teaching (and maybe a little bit from TTS because Waiting in the Wings fits her really well).
