Also Mel is great because he still considers Josh his stepson even after he divorced his mother. Josh is always welcome in the Horowitz home, and Mel has a real interest in his life and his studies. He wants to see Josh succeed and I just think that’s beautiful? The whole “you divorce wives, not children” is such a big deal to me, especially when you acknowledge that Josh doesn’t really have another positive older male figure in his life.
