this post is meant to be kind of all over the place, but hopefully it's not TOO all over the place.
some notes (bc i don't give a shit abt the show don't tell rule lol):
the conversation between drake and holland is meant to happen very early in the morning, before anyone else has come to the venue. i wanted it to be kind of confusing (bc holland is confused!), which is why some details aren't explained like that the kids are currently with nathan and elias and that jace is still at home getting ready for the big day.
"Boss" is a level 10 of the criminal career boss branch. jace was a Boss, controlling the criminal scene of San Myshuno, for a very long time, before he eventually quit and became an investor. he still has connections to the underworld, and is respected and feared across San Myshuno. an average citizen knows only rumours about his past and don't necessarily think much of it, though.
the scene where jace gets arrested is also happening before the wedding, when he has arrived to the venue only like 10-15 minutes after the phone call. that's why there's no dramatic big scene about it with a lot of people pointing and gasping at him, lol. idk, i kind of wanted it to be underwhelming in a way, which probably sounds so weird, lol, since i've been building on this for several posts. i wanted to portray that all this stuff with jace was just a long detour in the story, and that this isn't the "finale" if that makes sense? a lot of things are still going to happen in this gen until we're finished!
idk, i wanted this scene to happen between the three main characters, so that's why there's no other people 🙂
it's meant to be implied that what drake told her to do was to call the cops on jace, who were waiting at the venue when he arrived. drake comes a little later when the arrest has already been made.
i think that's all i want to say about this post! i hope you enjoyed this little conclusion to the jace stuff 🫶 as for drake truthers............ all i'm going to say that there's good news and bad news. 👀
