on a bright morning in 1890, only days after the move, a miss jane ivey called on the ehrling family, who helga took for a walk in the gardens. her and miss ivey got along splendidly as they shared a love of music and the same sense of humor ♡

helga was a hit at the club - her beautiful voice entranced the crowds and had them dancing all night. her biggest supporter, however, was her dear friend jane, who was so very proud of her. ♡

jane had invited helga to a local club to enjoy some music on a rainy saturday, where she thought helga could try out her talents and perhaps one day become a singer. to their surprise, they ended up making the acquaintance of a mr. matteo gagliardi, who turned out to be an investor at the club.
