should i be afraid
my new phone's battery life is so good i'm still above 80% even with spotify and pokego :0
i'm coming down from a mild ibuprofen high and having a wild time
i may be late to the game here but i saw your post re: incident in a ghostland and i didnt know that was the same guy who made martyrs (also didnt realize he made the tall man and i was definitely pretty disappointed by that) and i havent seen incident in a ghostland yet but i HAVE seen martyrs (but only the american remake) and i do want to say: the american remake of martyrs is good-ish. but i can tell i shouldve watched the french original. so idk what im trying to say, but mostly i do recommend martyrs, but the american version i think may have lost something in translation. but also incident in a ghostland has been on my list for a while now and i appreciate your take on it because now i will adjust my expectations. also id suggest watching the original french martyrs in favor of the american remake even though ive only seen the american one lmao.
i would be watching the original in any case! i would likely rewatch the remake afterwards, but in cases of remakes i tend to watch the original first to be able to get the stage set, like reading a book before an adaptation.
the tall man was extremely disappointing, and given its time of release and marketing, was very clearly trying to market off slenderman to tell a half baked "we live in a society" story that, in its creation, tells a much more interesting and competent story about society and its expectations.
ghostland/an incident in a ghostland is interesting enough, but if you were not aware of the premise of the villains as i wasnt, you would likely be sitting there expecting a backstory that there was not, and realizing in disappointment that the female antagonist is played by a male actor named kevin. other than my warning, if you plan to watch ghostland i recommend going in as blind as you can, seriously.
if you want to discuss any other horror (this is my specialty essentially) films or reviews or the such feel free to send more asks! i like talking.

...does Rebels realize they just took away the only reason I had to keep watching this season?
Because apparently none of the rest of the episode descrips mention Mandalore and that means...  though I wouldn’t rule out the finale.
But I need a separate Sabine spin off now bc literally no one else has my interest by this point.
