Nodus Tollens
Nodus Tollens: The realization that the plot of your life doesn’t make sense to you anymore.
“No, no, no,” she wanted to scream. Her hands wanted to wrap their dainty little fingers around his neck. And there was no possible sane reason why she had said no to Junho, her master, her king, her replacement as a god when her father wasn’t around. This, a mess of her own life, there was no utter possible reason she knew.
The madness of this school had finally gotten the best of her. Ghosts swarmed the school, demons haunted her thoughts, the bruises on her pale skin were alive. There couldn’t possibly be a reason why she was here. “Give me a moment to take my arms around your throat and choke you for only a minute,” she rushed in Korean, or Japanese, or in Italian because she couldn’t even remember what she was speaking of.
Her fall would have been more amusing for Junho than herself. Though it was starting to be wonderful for her too. Her fall, unlike Man’s, was for never understanding that hallucinations were never just hallucinations. Alice in Wonderland was possibly the most mundane story compared to the life here.
“5,000,000 Won, Su Min,” he sighed, not caring for her useless break down.
And yet she swallowed the heat of her crisis, how in this world, there was no meaning, how they were all meant to die and to think that she would live would be useless. There was no time for such optimistic thoughts. “Of course,” she smiled. Her plans for tonight were to get Junho’s money. And any more than that, she would get to that when the bridge burned.
