To make matters worse, not only did the person who stole from them speak to them in this really fucking rude, dismissive ass manner, she also proceeded to go on her own twt account when people found out who she was and start pulling the "im older, i dont have time to argue with kids"card with people who called her out on the fact that she literally stole someones work that had a clearly lgbt relationship and changed it to a heterosexual one for "diversity" and to "broaden ops audience"

Let me fucking tell yall something. The media doesn't give us LGBTQIA+ people much representation, what we have are usually side or background characters that are riddled with problematic stereotypes written usually by a heterosexual director. We have lgbt+ roles being played by non lgbt+ people and so on. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, our (proper) representation in media is niche at best, and we can't even have lgbt+ characters intoduced without religious nuts fucking trying to raise hell on us or people going "i dont see why you need to make (insert media form) so PC, why does that character NEED to be gay/trans/bi/anything thats not cis or het" as if we have to give you a reason for us to fucking exist.

I'll use myself as an example. I am a pansexual, polyamorous black woman. You'll be hard pressed to find a pan person in media at all, even more hard pressed to find a main character of a mainstream show thats a black woman thats also lgbt, even MORE hard pressed to find any mainstream media that has a polyamorous relationship that isnt boiled down to "hurr durr friends with benefits, gotta fuck multiple people, cant be chained down huhuhu" type bullshit.

So i lovingly make my fics, most of them showing healthy poly relationships and dynamics, almost all of them with lgbt+ characters. I write het fics, i write m/m fics as well as m/f fics and f/f fics and fics with non binary people as well.

For a lot of us, fics are one of the biggest places we can find diversity and inclusion with lgbt relationships in all forms, but most importantly, in a way thats not mocking of our fucking lives (mostly). We can read a fic with non binary or trans characters. We can read a fic with a poly main character that genuinely cares for all of their partners, and isnt some playboy/girl/person or whatever. We can read a fic made by an intersex person who wants to tell a story and use this fic as their medium.

For you to fucking take a work at all is fucking garbage. But especially so when you take a fucking lgbt+ fucking work and change someone's elses story to make it a heterosexual one. The majority of media IS heterosexual. It IS cisgendered. And there's nothing wrong with being heterosexual or cisgendered, I'm not saying that here.

But just like you have your story, us lgbt+ people have ours. You want a het fanfic of the ships you want? Write it your fucking self. Dont fucking take other people's fucking works.
