On the outside: rough, calloused hands and a scarred face. Soft eyes, though, give away the gentle soul that is Levi Cheung. Raised on a small farm that grew into a flourishing cattle ranch as he matured, Levi has always felt most at home working in the dirt and surrounded by animals. His mother, an accomplished rodeo cowgirl, had him on a horse as soon as he took his first steps (or so she jokes) while his father taught him the lay of the land and its agriculture. Levi has always known where he belonged, and so it was an easy choice to stay in Chestnut Ridge after graduation to work on his parents’ ranch as a farm hand herding cattle, tending to the livestock, and doing other handiwork. In his free time Levi enjoys playing the guitar (he could even be convinced to sing a tune) and doing a variety of woodwork, which he sells at the maker’s market every weekend. Being a farm hand on the cattle ranch is a demanding job, though, and Levi finds that he seldom has time to go out for a night on the town and meet people. And so when his mother told him about a bachelor challenge in their own hometown, Levi saw a chance to meet a like-minded soul who wasn’t afraid of a little dirt...
Fun Facts:
▸ His father immigrated to Chestnut Ridge from China as a teen. His mother, a Chestnut Ridge native, was immediately smitten with the newcomer and offered to tutor him in English. It's during these lessons that their love blossomed, with the pair marrying after high school.
▸ Perpetually has dirt under his nails and really rough rands.
▸ His father made him take line dancing lessons as a kid and he swore off dancing afterwards.
▸ Likes to wittle small animals out of wood and give them to people. There's a variety of these lil guys lying around his house.
▸ Despite his rough exterior, Levi loves to watch telenovelas and rom-coms, which he grew up watching with his mother and younger sister.
