honestly how dare Elena and Stefan not tell Damon that Katherine said she loved him. TWICE.
did they not think he deserved to know all those years weren’t a waste? that everything he did for love wasn’t in vain? that yes, even though katherine wasn’t in the tomb she still returned his feelings and he was a sacrifice she had to make, instead of thrown away like old toilet paper?
did they not think it peculiar when she came into town claiming to only love stefan then flipped her story the second she got what she wanted? did they not think it interesting when she bent over backwards trying to save Damon’s life?
Maybe they thought it was a little dangerous for him to know and selfishly withheld the information. Maybe they’re as perceptive as a pile of bricks and literally didn’t think of it at all.
Damon would have sacrificed anything for their love. He ruined his relationship with Stefan, he gave up his own life, he committed his existence to her.
He deserved to know.
