Do you have developed dynamics with the OC of another mun that has influenced your OC or Canon muse? (flagrant elfgar, johnson, mack bait question, i admit)
What are the trends when it comes to writing that you adore?

Do you have developed dynamics with the OC of another mun that has influenced your OC or Canon muse writing?
Mack x Johnson x Elfgar has influenced my writing by making me less prone to immediately pairing up characters and seeing instead all the moments in between that build to a satisfying and logical pairing. The queer asexual nature of Mr Johnson and Elfgar makes the body swapping so insanely more intimate to me. I hope we write some of that more when I'm done with this recovery project.
With Lyra it's been a dare between us to write the most cancellable ship possible. Mack and Elfgar was our first healthy ship (despite age gaps, binge drinking and parricide) and it came out of putting our muses on shuffle for a one-off thread. It changed how I look at or discern what will be a good ship now. I must admit I went more on 'genre' back in the day but now I think any ship has wonderful potential provided that the character's intrinsic personalities are being respected and are thing that drives the ship forward.

This is more to do with RP but I (despite being a big text puritan) appreciate all the coding and design trends and coloured text and photoshop and icons and carrds and themes and different font usages. And it's also very optional, and gives no indication of your writing ability. If you like coding/photoshop/design, then why not use rp as a platform to practice that skillset? The hobby is: you're transferring information to a perfect stranger online in as creative a way as possible and I think it's all wonderful - even the stuff we're supposed to cringe at as veterans.
The one-liner or two-three sentence trend. It may spam your dash and be annoying to scroll through when you're not involved in the thread (perhaps I'll start tagging my short threads so that you can block them from your feed) but I think A) It's more collaborative. B) It's great for breaking the ice with new writers. C) It takes more discipline and self awareness to know when to stop writing and let the other person speak. D) I can be drained of creativity and can't keep up with the paragraphs but still write something.
ocs for a certain fandom one & what you're looking for in a ship & favorite canon muse (i know that's not really your thing but you've had them before and i'm curious)

Have you ever developed an OC for a certain fandom?
Technically my evil astronaut OC Rifat started life as an evil TIE fighter pilot in 2016 tumblr rpc. His faceclaim was Matthew Goode. I can't remember his name for the life of me. And then I developed him further for an Alien (the movie) themed Tabletop game with friends irl. And then after that I brought him back and he had his own weird history universe where communists won the space race. He keeps changing and coming back stronger. Sadly.
What are you looking for in a ship?
It's mostly to do with chemistry ooc with a partner, like if we've known eachother for a while/we gel well with our writing styles/can send silly memes on discord then it means I'll throw characters your way without thought.
On this blog specifically I don't ship the angels with other angels. They're sort of like brothers and sisters in my head. With devils/jinn/demons it's different because they're like a separate species rather than the fallen version of angels, especially in Islam. With humans it has to be weird and intense and there must be something wrong with the human muse.
What is your favourite canon muse?
Growing up, Father Damien Karras from The Exorcist novels. Very formative. However, going back to those books as an adult, they are not great, and you get self-insert vibes from the conservative author. I gravitate more towards Sharon Spencer now when I reread them.
Sidenote: I've recently become quite obsessed with Faramir from the Lord of the Rings.
So it tends to be Just Some Girls/Guys/Thems in the background of a canon piece of media.
