i love maleficent and sleeping beauty more than most things disney

but... does nobody remember oz the great and powerful? tim burton's alice and wonderland?

this is the same thing. it's literally one of the guys who worked on those films directing another film of the exact same sort.

and they are going to villainize the good faeries to make maleficent more sympathetic which is basically the quintessential mark of bad writing.

i want to see the pretty visuals and angelina jolie looks amazing in her costume and i think she'll rock the role, but i just can't see this being a good film and i don't get why people are falling for it again after the past two movies of this sort...

#maleficent #i am just so mad about them making the other faeries mean like noooo you can have a tragic backstory!villain but don't ruin the good guys #wicked got this right for the most part wrt glinda at least (the wizard was a bit more evil but he was already a conman so...)#it's going to be gorgeous but really so was alice in wonderland's costume design and that's why that's the only thing about it we discuss no #*nowadays
