The first thing Shinsuke saw when he exited the train station in Miyagi was the snow that was coming down. He immediately looked upward towards the sky and held out his right hand, palm facing up to catch the cascading snowflakes. They melted away as soon as they touched the pale skin of his hand. It was cold and he probably would have benefited from gloves today, but as thoughtful as he usually was, he had somehow overlooked the weather in the northeast when he left Hyogo.
Something about the snow was so beautiful to him as it welcomed him to the town that was just a little too far from his home. He didn’t mind making the trip, though. Fully bundled in a navy blue coat, fluffy white scarf around his neck and a mask covering the bottom half of his face, and holding a bag branding the kanji for north on it--which also happened to be his name--in his left hand by his side, Shinsuke pulled out his phone and dialed a number, held the phone up to his ear, and waited for the rings to go through.
“Hello, it’s Kita. I’m at the east exit. Can ya come pick me up? Thanks.” His kansai accent naturally slipped into his wording, though it was rather subtle if compared to someone like Atsumu.
