I think it’s really lazy to create a character that has a complicated relationship with their birth sex that is the main focus of their development. Who is shown to have social and physical dysphoria to some extent, and says that he wants to live as a man (and is shown to present masculine in the epilogue) but then take it all back and say that he’s a girl.
