raiden x adelaide wedding pls!!
let it be known raiden is so nervous about proposing, like he buys the ring several months in advance and spends those months freaking out about it to the rest of his friends. it's a wonder adelaide doesn't find out before he proposes tbh. it's zacharie threatening to throw the ring that pushes him forward.
he does something similar to the dani and jamie scene from bly manor since adelaide loves taking care of plants. he buys some new plants (some of her favourites that are in season) and hides a ring in one of the pots. she's ecstatic when she sees the flowers and is just gobsmacked when she finds the ring and is like "uh... raiden?" and raiden fumbles his way through a short but heartfelt speech because he's bad at feelings okay. she thinks it's endearing though so it's fine
there is a hUGE celebration with their friends because honestly they're just happy raiden finally did it
naturally, all of the members of lyoko warriors 2.0 are in the wedding party along with raiden's sister suzume and adelaide's childhood friend belle
adelaide immediately goes to her mother with help for her wedding dress, since sissi is a fashion journalist, and sissi is more than happy to help okay she's so excited. she ends up with something like this because flowers we love flowers here
i feel like they'd have it in botanical gardens somewhere also because flowers. raiden genuinely doesn't have any preference on this stuff he just wants adelaide to be happy
both of them are so nervous because all eyes will be on them so the twins sort of conspire to distract the guests if they see the bride and groom being too nervous. this includes: tripping each other up the aisle, pulling funny faces during the ceremony, and throwing cake at each other's faces
adelaide's grandfather walks her down the aisle and he is ecstatic about it
zacharie and oceane were both asked to make speeches for the reception so they decided to do it together and oh boy was that a mistake, it's just a compilation of embarrassing stories about adelaide and raiden
suzume catches the bouquet
everyone in attendance has never seen raiden be so soft ever and you can see it in all of the pictures and adelaide is just gLOWING it's a very cute wedding
send me a ship of mine and i’ll talk about their wedding
4, 6, and 12 for adelaide and raiden!!
how do they know the other is in a bad mood before they say anything?
raiden is always in a bad mood, he's a moody bastard, but when he's in a particularly bad mood, he makes an effort to be away from the group since he tries to deal with it on his own. adelaide notices when he starts to pull away and isn't being his usual snarky self. adelaide tends to be scatterbrained and frustrated over small things when in a bad mood and raiden, who notices her little quirks, can usually tell before the others can.
how do they react to casual eye contact? do they tend to initiate or avoid it?
both of them initiate it, though it depends on the situation. it's normal for them to look at each other since they're friends and all, plus they learn to read each other by just a look because of lyoko battles and such, but they'll also seek each other out sometimes. if they turn around and the other is already looking, they may get shy and embarrassed, since they're both more introverted. it never causes anything awkward, though.
how do they react to each other’s nicknames/terms of endearment?
the nicknames they have for each other are just what their other friends also call them (rai and addie), but it's often how it's said that makes all the difference. all it takes is adelaide saying "rai" in a soft voice for raiden to get shy. basically the softer they're being, the more flustered they'll get.
