Alice/Anastasia + different first meeting AU, for a dreamwidth event
Anastasia makes it to Wonderland alone and is struggling to adjust when Alice happens upon her, just in time to stop her from eating the wrong kind of mushroom. Alice teaches Ana all she's learned about Wonderland and eventually they find they've fallen in love. Still, when the King proposes marriage and offers her the crown, Anastasia takes it. Alice returns to her world, heartbroken, and admits herself into the asylum— until Will comes to break her out, telling her their friend Cyrus needs help and she must return to Wonderland. And so, to save her friend, Alice goes back down the rabbit hole once more— (just as the Queen had hoped).
