Finally, he had some time off to meet with Mistress Serena. Any other meeting with any kind of master would have some impending doom feel, but he found himself being at ease around her. Inwardly he was relieved that there was an actual authority figure over him that wasn’t expecting him to kiss the ground they walked on. So when she required some help to be shown around, he didn’t even think of any repercussions before volunteering -- maybe too enthusiastically, now that he thought back on it. She was a mistress, someone he’d have to obey. In the end, he was still the slave, she still held the power.
