Another costume I never really posted (and from the same con, too), though that is at least in part due to the fact that it photographed terribly. Blue face paint is not easy to light, and it was a very sunny day with very strong shadows. I also was sweating like a blue pig obviously, so that didn’t help. Anyway, here’s some X-Men: Evolution; which is arguably the best X-Men.

I realized that I never really posted any proper standalone photos of this costume, even though it’s been almost three years. Whoops! Anyway, here’s Margot and Mason and can I just say, it was the hardest thing to keep a straight face because my dear brother kept saying “Verger baby” in a creepy voice and I kept cracking up. Thx Mason, I hate you~  💖

Work has been absolutely crazy these last few weeks, and my health hasn’t handled it well, so after collapsing a few times I am at home with a sick note now. Which means mostly sleep and rest for me, but hopefully I can do a few picture edits or even some sewing when I am up to it! Sitting up works so far, and if my headaches and vertigo get better, I might be able to see straight again. ^^“ Revan is waiting to be started on (I bought fabric last weekend and I am absolutely thrilled to begin this project!!!) and maybe someone on the internet finally sells me a red denim jacket for my next Harley costume (I haven’t been very lucky so far). The way it currently looks, with my work/holiday plan and so on, I seem to be only able to make it to Dokomi and German Comic Con Dortmund, with the tiniest chance of one weekday of GamesCom, this year. They really had to put all my seminars and stuff in the worst possible timespans, and there is no way I can travel longer distances to any conventions, so I had to narrow it down to those two/three. I’m not thrilled, but I hope to be able to finish both Revan and Harley in time, as well as some iteration of Leia Organa, and that it will get better again in the future.

In the meantime, here is a picture of me as Harley Quinn from GCC last December (playing around with a hand grenade shaped like a tree ornament – I really do love this costume and all the silly little prop ideas I had for it!), as well as one of my favourite shots of my beautiful gal pal Jess as Poison Ivy from the same event. I miss cosplaying with her a lot and am excited to finally do so again for Dokomi!! 💚 🌷
