And then here you and your mortal siblings are, dying on a quest, or against the armies of Kronos, or in the hands of Gaia, or fighting an undead Roman Emperor, and your mother doesn't even spare you a conversation.

You and your siblings, despite your perceived weakness, show up to fight the armies of Kronos, to stop the thrones of the Gods from being overturned. Your siblings and friends are bleeding or dying.

And your mother takes her favorite daughter and hides in the underworld.

Demeter 's love for Persephone brought winter upon the world. Her love for you does nothing.

I clamped my hands tight over my ears. The dirt couldn't have me again. Not yet.

I wanted to be someone's lover. I didn't think it would make me human. But it felt like it would weaken their misplaced superiority towards me.

I saw them again today. The "changeling", my father called them. Though I wasn't sure if that was the term gifted to them by folklore, or if it was a cruel turn of phrase I'd later beg forgiveness for ever uttering.

They didn't see me. Or if they did, they made no note of acknowledgement. It was rare that they left the church and ventured into town. The reverend was at their side, as he usually was. But I'd seen them once before on their own. In an odd way, I got the impression that having the reverend close at hand made them feel better. Or perhaps that was simply my naivety shining through.

I had work to tend to in the archives. But I found myself rooted in place, mesmerized as though they were a siren rather than another being altogether. My colleagues and siblings alike always warned me whenever I brought them up. There was something wrong with them— the changeling— and I was better off staying as far as I could. They weren't human, and the only reason they had lived this long was thanks to the reverend's blessing.

But I never believed that. And stood across the town square, watching the way they carried themself as they walked supplies home with the man who has raised them, I knew I had to get closer. I was never as religious as my other family members, and I was reminded of why in that moment. For if our god was so cruel as to deem a person as mesmerizing as them to damnation, perhaps I could see things that It could not. And if it was my undoing, what a blessing it would be.

Early 80s Armand senses that Daniel wants something more than what he can offer. A career —he is brilliant at it after all—, children, some sense of normality. Maybe they are just fleeting thoughts. Maybe they are fed by Armand's insecurities. But if he doesn't let Daniel go, his beautiful boy will never have the chance to have these things. So he wants to give him the chance. Maybe a part of Daniel understands this, too. They break up. Only Daniel can't let go. He keeps coming back, he tries to find his high elsewhere. He gets a girl pregnant in 1985 that he actually likes, he has to get his shit together. But she is not Armand, no one and nothing else can make him feel the same way (or is it just the blood he craves?), so he goes back to him, high again, more reckless. For Armand it seems that Daniel is going to end up losing himself in the drugs, overdosing, dying. He can turn him, of course, it will fix the problem. Only... there is another way. He makes him forget — and it is okay, Armand always knew how to be the keeper of memories that pained him. Daniel has nothing to grieve about, no other life he could have had to miss. He goes to rehab. It works this time. He proposes to real Alice, his pregnant girlfriend, he sort of loves. She sort of loves him too. Their normal human life begins. He will be happy, happier than he would have been if he remembered, happier than he ever was with Armand. Of course he will be. And so on.

90% of sex in a game is not worthwhile. World building. Characterized. Dialogue etc is needed in order to balance out everything.

I cannot just start my if and then immediately just jump into sex. That makes no sense whatsoever.

NSFW content will be added later on down in the if after the MC has gotten to know all ROs. I've seen alot of post asking about povs of other characters. Most people don't like foreshadowing that much so I won't be doing all that much of it. I want my readers to be puzzled. I want them to be at the edge of their seat wondering what's going to happen next.
