Margot’s Note: It’s mad, isn’t it? Giving you a whole restaurant as if we have nothing better to do, as if our schedule isn’t crazy enough! Well, to ease your mind.. you’re the owner but you have a whole team so this won’t take you away from your work. Do you want a little back story? Why your wife decided you needed to be the owner of this revived, space themed restaurant? One date night, I was googling places where we should go and I stumbled across this one, only… it was closed. For good. It had closed years ago. I started reading articles about how loved this place was and when I saw the pictures? Well, I knew if it were open, we would be going allll the time. It was a shame it was closed. One day it occurred to me.. why don’t we try to revive it? We always did say we wanted to do more business ventures together, after all.. Reading the reviews, how popular it was, the fact that it’s here in NYC (our home).. I don’t know, I can’t explain how my brain works at times but one thing led to another and I was taking meetings with investors, electricians, chefs. I wanted to give this to you for your 40th birthday as a surprise but there were some final touches that still had to be done. After the holiday, we can head over there so everyone can meet their new boss ;) and so you can get the proper tour, try out the food and everything! Your very own taste of Mars, close to home. I love you to the furthest moon (and well beyond this Mars) and back. 🧡
