essa genuinely couldn’t remember the last time he’d been on a date. it wasn’t that he didn’t like going on dates, but rather he had never found someone worthy of taking out. was blakely worthy? from what he knew, not particularly. but what he was perhaps hoping to achieve was going to be worth it -- at least in his eyes. and maybe, maybe that was the reason for the nerves pooling at the pit of his stomach. he sits on the table at the cafe they had agreed on, his fingers interlocked together in front of him. when he hears the door open, chimes ringing at the arrival of another person, he lifts his head up and a smile spreads across his lips when he makes eye contact with blakely.
