Thinking about the decisions to have Shmi and Din portray the reality of attachment vs love, and how it showed not only their pure selflessness, their unwavering strength, and their unassuming wisdom, but it also showed that the philosophies George Lucas applied to the Jedi are not simply a fictional belief system, but a real-life understanding that is important for everyone to consider applying to themselves.
