REVERSE RESEARCH
My muse has been kidnapped for experimental 'research.' After months of searching, yours has finally found mine. How does your muse react to the condition mine is in?
#yell REVERSE and I will write a muse being *found* by yours :3
The light was too bright, the orderlies usually kept to red lights to reduce the change of startling their skittish patients. Patients? They were inmates. The orderlies were usually much louder, but today there hadn't been much noise after the fighting and gunshots. She hoped everyone was dead. She hoped she'd be next. The Citadel should be burned to the ground with her inside of it.
The girl couldn't remember the last time she saw light. Perpetual light deprivation on a telekinetic specialist was the latest round in the long line of bullshit tests conducted on her. At least the cell wasn't flooding full of water, this week. The way she breathed told her there was still water in her lungs.
Her thin frame was curled on the marble floor, all 6 sides of her cell lined with a copper titanium alloy mix... That crushed everything but her own thoughts. They told her that.
She didn't remember the last time she had heard voices, in her head or otherwise. Her eyes clinched shut as the light lowered to her face, burning her retinas before it moved away and she felt someone warm next to her, gently checking her over before scooping her up like a rag doll made of poprocks. Every vertebrae in her spine was palpable against his arm.
"Clari..." the man whispered, ringing somewhere in her mind as familar. Oh, her name. Her name was Clari.
As he moved, her body jolted in pain, broken bones brushing together and sending electric spasms from her neck to her knees. "Ow." She whimpered. The man froze, giving a slow sniff. Seeming to study the smell. Her eyes tried to adjust to see him, but something was covering her eyes. He sniffed again. And then let out a monstrous howl.
Signaling his location to the rest of the pack, he had told her once.
Isaac.
The slapping of shoes against the marble as feet ran towards them. "John, she's--"
"I know." the other man's voice whispered, sounding pained, "Jedikiah told me. Keep a hold on her, I'm going to TP us out."
