I wouldn't really say slander, I would say its more like "Hey, this character did a shitty thing and until they redeem themselves, I don't like them at all" kind of thing, yanno?

@aglaecan​: in English “fair-haired” almost always does mean “light colored hair,” it’s something of a common phrasing. and Caranthir is, in one area, explicitly named Mori-Finwe because he was “black haired as his grandfather,” so yeah, several of the sons had names for their hair color lol. if there was one solid answer though, there wouldn’t be a debate! for me, the evidence feels like light colored hair predominates but that’s just me.

but yes totally true, if there was a strict answer i wouldn’t ( and just for my blog ofc ) insist on my preference either. for me, it’s just that the opposite evidence comes out on top.
