With Cersei’s pointed look as a guide, Cyrus instinctively glances up at the balcony. It doesn’t take long for him to notice her. Ginger hair, woven the same as every other capital girl present, and with the gown to match, yet Cyrus isn’t sure he’s ever seen someone more out of place, more lost. And when their eyes meet all he is able to think about is how sadness must be the emotion buried there - fear, too. He so rarely sees those back at Highgarden, surrounded by an extended family that loves to look happy and at ease.
If someone asked him, then and there, what his first impressions of Sansa Stark had been in that day, as her fate and future were tossed around in front of her as if they were nothing, Cyrus merely would have said she looks like the furthest thing from “traitorous” or “evil” that he could imagine.
But, oh, how she seems worth knowing.
