“i heard that this happened before. but like — everyone was taken.” she shuddered a little into her drink, lips pursed in wonder. “i thought all of them have private planes, actually.” they all came from incredibly rich countries, after all. ireti sighed, looking over to her friend with worry colouring her features. “do you think we should go visit araya? i don’t want to push in when she’s with her family.” ( @yihwa )
“okay like— look at them! i’m definitely underdressed.” ireti pointed at a few party goers who were cheering on the parade from the sidelines, complete with enormous headdresses that almost obstructed the view of those behind them. her own outer-piece was laid forgotten on the back of her chair. “ugh! i gotta rip up my skirt for tomorrow... are you coming to the street party? it’s supposed to be the best thing to do here.” she looked expectantly at her friend, eyes bright. “it’ll be fun!” ( @yihwa )
“you- yes you!” dianna was draped across her seat at her sparsely occupied table, everyone had scattered with the winds and she had just waved away one of her ladies. this was perhaps a conversation she’d rather have in relative privacy — or how much privacy one could have at a party! the princess beckoned at the young woman with an imperious hand. “san’s girl, yes? i would offer you my condolences but i’m still not sure if you’re the social climbing type.” she had done her research, the results of which turned out inconclusive. one could escape and reinvent oneself to a different country by taking up an occupation and still angle to be the future empress after all! “sit, let’s get to know one another.” ( @yiihwas )
“god, i can’t believe your parents really managed to drag you all the way out here! i thought that you would be safe, at least —” nika stopped abruptly at the end of her sentence to knock back the shot of vodka that was in her hand. she wiped her lip from excess alcohol and turned her attention back to yihwa. “you must be bored out of your mind!” out of anyone, nikolina would know exactly what it felt like to be an athlete one second and someone whose sole job was to sit by the pool. “drink up, babe, it’s the only way to survive this place.” ( @yiihwas )
