[Tyrian]
Little did Lila know she was going to see through the yellow eyes of a young scorpion Faunus, not younger than 10 years old. Given the scorching heat, it was somewhat easy to assume it was Vacuo. His home. Albeit they were mostly active during the night, it was common making them practice during the daylight, to test even more their dexterity and nerves while stealing. And, now, it was almost time to go. The Sun was going down.
He was there, hidden under the shadow of a palm tree with a small group of kids of his age - all of them belonging to his clan. Most of them were recutantly his friends, be it for fear or for power. After all, wasn't he the son of the leader, Rain? -, the day's catch was a pretty good one: not only some of them managed to steal a bunch of Lien and other belongings, but Tyrian overdid even more, by even catching some frogs and a fat desert toad. He had to, after all, otherwise father was going to be extremely upset. And, when he was, things weren't going to be okay for the little one.
And, how to assert he was the "best" by nothing more than behaving like the grown-ups. It was, after all, a pretty common practice to make sure one's soil remained dry, utterly unable to bloom. Even better at a young age like that one in front of him.
«Is that all you've got?»
Violently pushing on the ground a girl - probably two years younger than him -, he and the rest laughed at her reddened face, holding back the tears as she attempted to get up. Only to get pushed once again.
Another laugh as Tyrian bended over, his yellow eyes piercing hers with malice, his right hand holding the sack, emptying it in front of her, each content bouncing on the golden sand, the dust going everywhere. There wasn't anything valuable, maybe a pocket knife and a few Lien. Except of a jewel. Yes, that one looked valuable enough. Where did she find it? And, what could his father thought of him when he found out that little girl FOUND IT instead of his son?
Unforgivable.
«Do you know what happens when one returns with... "Bullshit"?»
Yes, that was the exact vocabulary the grown-ups used to described all those belongings that were considered worthless. And, it was one of the forbidden words the kids couldn't use on penalty of a thick ear, often followed with a 'Language!'. So, hearing that word our of his mouth made them murmur in shock.
"The Dip will get angry at-"
A squeak came out of her mouth as the Faunus stomped one of the values, breaking it in hundreds of pieces, rubbing the boot's sole on whatever was left.
«ONLY her?»
Another stomp, louder this time. Followed by another, and another as she attempted to stop him, only to get slammed by his scorpion tail as he grinned in delight. No, he wasn't the one getting beaten up. Not again.
Helpless eyes were staring at what was left of her loot. Nothing, but dust and rubble.
«You'll probably find out once you'll return home.»
Laughing as he turned his back and the others followed him, a smirk of venomous triumph curved his lips, grabbing the big toad hidden in his bag. Dinner for the night, a big catch. Those little guys were so quick. Mom was going to be proud of him, right?
Wouldn't you agree... Lia?
