Walker said that characters in the show are saying thalia is older and stronger than him but at this point arent they equals and he slowly even get increasingly more powerful than her.

mhmm this is actually pretty interesting!

i think in terms of “energy” or levels of power (for a lack of better words) they technically are equals, but the difference as of current percy-thalia stems from thalia having had way more time to learn her strengths and how to use her powers, meanwhile percy is still new to everything - hence why he wasn’t able to successfully balance the ironclad and guide it through the sea of monsters safely in episode 4 despite all his efforts (i think initially it was working but then things went south etc).

in the titan’s curse, when we see percy again i assume he will probably have had time to train more at camp during the rest of the summer, so we’ll definitely see him stronger. he will become increasingly more powerful through the seasons for sure, and arguably the strongest demigod out there, but it’s still too soon for that !!

as for the characters telling him over and over that thalia is stronger, i think something that plays into that is their view of her. she’s become a legend to everyone at camp, and she’s a daughter of zeus which in itself does wonders to her reputation. to add to this, thalia also knows exactly who she is and what she can do and is able to demonstrate that confidently. percy on the other hand doesn’t really believe much in himself, hasn’t had as much time to use his abilities and grow into them, and on top of that he’s found out something about himself that he’s truly terrified of, which isn’t exactly the nicest combo :(

i think ur right i dont think percy...especially TV percy has shown what hes capable of yet because he himself isnt aware. it seems hes holding back, he doesnt really use it often and hes not in full control yet. Even like sword fighting hes holding back, as walker said with luke, hes fighting to disarm him, he wasnt going for the kill like luke was.

how can anyone know just how powerful he if he himself isnt aware u know.

maybe i wouldn't exactly say that he's holding himself back because he doesn't even really know how to do that yet imo, but i would add that the times his powers manifested were completely out of his control. they worked out of fear, urgency to help and anger (i'm not counting underwater breathing bc it's not a way for him to raise the waves or tides or actively defend himself/attack). so absolutely, he hasn't really used them consciously which of course means that he isn't fully in control yet and he can still mess up.

and the whole thing about sword fighting oh my gosh. it was like music to my ears when walker explained it because it truly speaks volumes about both percy and luke, who they are as people currently and how differently they feel about the whole situation. it's also so clear that it never really sunk in percy's mind how dangerous and serious luke is about it all until he starts to punch the light out of him and it's so scary to watch :(

When was he not bleeding? Jon didn't have many matches that didn't end in some bloodshed. Tonight he figured he was in the clear from a battle against B0wens which led to his opponent for the upcoming ppv to show up and throw hands. Maybe Will got a little too trigger happy in the moment, "Shit. Really?" He looked over at the smaller man whose eyes are peering in his direction. They arrived back in the lockerroom moments ago, a promo taken after the match ended so he's just now able to cool down. "Bastard got at least one shot to my temple, nearly knocked me out." A raspy chuckle escapes as he looks himself over to see where the blood is. Not having any luck.

It perplexed the younger man to the point if he had hair he'd yank it out. Joe seemed to know when shit was wrong before it was actually noticed by himself at times.
