Rafael & Ikki’s New Home 2 (Listing/Pics Here)

Kandachimachi Minka Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Pref.

Located west of the rapidly growing Tsukuba city, and east of the Kasumigaura bay (second largest lake in Japan), this traditional Minka is only about one hour train ride away from Ueno Tokyo. While it was built in the late 80s, the main house has been modernized with the the latest amenities whilst retaining the character and history of the Building. The traditional Japanese elements such as the Tokonoma, Shoin, Kamoi, Ranma, Tategu fittings, Shinkabe and plastered walls are all maintained in fine condition.

After managing to leave London without getting caught Rafael & Ikki head to Japan. Due to Ikki being a Japanese citizen, and Japan having no extradition treaties with the UK he has little to worry about, with most of his assets in tact (though the battle to extradite him is likely news for a while). However, since Rafael has to lay low for a while they decide to not move to Tokyo, instead to move to a more rural location settled outside of a different city, Tsuchiura. While the house they decide to buy is generally not what either of them are used to, they slowly decorate it to fit their style over the years, it's an extremely nice traditional Japanese house, with a lot of land. While it takes them both some time to get back on track, and Rafael in particular will never reach what he used to have (not to say anything about the pain of the loss of his family), they do okay. (important note: Rafael’s dog, and Ikki’s birds end up picked up by Ikki’s sister, Aya, and brought to Japan where they all live happily).

Despite Eileen Nakamura moving to Tokyo from Australia when she was ten years old, the Nakamura family is rather typical for the city. They value hard work, ambition, and independence. Due to how safe Tokyo tends to be with crime almost (but not completely) absent from the average person's day to day life children are encouraged to often do things on their own even from a very young age. It was not so strange that Ikki was taking the train to the nearest library alone at age nine or younger, and it was not so strange that Aya wandered the streets of Harajuku alone before she was even a teenager. Ken and Eileen were not completely absent from their children's lives, but with their busy office job work schedules Ikki and Aya were often left to handle their lives themselves. Seeing how successful they both turned out it seems they did a pretty good job of it (in Ikki's opinion anyway).

As for the siblings, being around six years older than his sister they were not close, nor did they attend most of their schooling in the same place. It's likely unsurprising to say that Ikki was not so much of a doting older brother, but he did make sure Aya had her shit together and was out the door when she needed to be. He would often make sure they'd both had breakfast before the day started, and maybe from time to time would allow her to drag him to some quirky fashion shop, or park to spend the day -- when he wasn't busy. The two shared little interests, or personality traits. Ikki being more stoic and serious, while Aya tended more towards the creative and emotional side of things.

While Ikki moved to London to attend school, Aya began her career in entertainment spending much of her teen years as a model and TV personality within Japan. Now Ikki is acting CEO of Femenias Energy, and Aya is one of their countries most successful influencers and actors, who has steadily been gaining more and more popularity within the western world. She comes to visit (bother) her older brother from time to time, though is more likely to spend her time collaborating on social media with Ravi, or out and and about with Jessica. Which works perfectly for Ikki who could probably spend more time with his family, but does not. He cares for them, but ... Ikki is still Ikki. And as far as he knows the rest of his family is in the complete dark about the Famine side of his life, and that is the way he wishes for it to stay.
