Yea I def agree! Calling her out as an individual is v necessary! I just don't think Zayn belongs in the discussion bc it gives ppl an unwarranted excuse 2 criticize his relationship which isn't up for debate. Her stupidity is a stand alone issue lol

lol i get what you mean - we don't/shouldn't need to judge couples/their relationships cuz it's their private life. but honestly it's sort of discomforting if he continued being with someone who might be at that level of ignorance, like... the least she could do is show that she understands where his roots lie (his mom is a great example of this), esp since she's a celebrity and has a lot of followers. and even besides this, i don't think it is out of context for fans to get irritated over their relationship if she views him like that, you know? perrie's lack of awareness doesn't suddenly stop when they are together, so we can't fully separate her individually vs w/ zayn. & her stereotyping zayn, like what does that reinforce the public about white/poc interracial relationships? :/ if their relationship has that sort of element, then imo it's understandable why fans complain (although i know fans can go over the top).

ugh yeah she's pretty ignorant about a lot of things (re: cultural appropriation especially) :/ but also i'm notttt too sure about that quote because the daily mail is incredibly unreliable most of the time lol so idk what to make of it

ohhh okay, i see! (although i saw this same thing on other sites too?) but i don't really know much about quotes/interviews in terms of like being an active fan of either (which i'm not lol) so i'll take your word for it
